Razer Electra V2 Software Download For Windows & Mac
Razer Electra V2 Software, Setup, Manual & Drivers. The Razer Electra V2 looks and feels like a much cooler headset. The chassis is made of plastic and metal, and seems to be able to withstand moderate amounts of punishment. Best of all, it has an automatic and padded headband that rests on four thin steel cables. You just use it and it fits right – no need for boring grooves.
The Razer Electra V2 is a very competent gaming headset with the versatility to perform on a variety of different platforms. However, it is possible to find better alternatives at the same price that offer superior sound and a more attractive design, premium feeling.
Razer Electra V2 Drivers. The microphone is connected to the left of the unit without problems. It sports a flexible design that makes position around your mouth for easy optimal fit. As for the ear cups themselves, they are more or less serviceable. Nothing is too surprising, but they get the job done.
Razer Surround is a way to mimic the desired effect on every pair of stereo headphones, and it does a pretty good job. It can’t perfectly mimic the experience you experienced from the original arrangement, but for a budget option, it’s more than good enough.
The Electra V2 is functional in game. I heard the enemy behind me on Overwatch; Terran army laser blast on StarCraft; taunts from ork captains in Middle-earth: Shadow of War; and the roar of stars passing on Star Trek Online. There is no great balance between music and sound work, so finding the right volume is rather difficult. I heard everything clearly, but there was no closeness or excitement in the voice. More than just flat, the Electra V2 sound profile is boring.
Because the Electra V2 is connected via a 3.5-mm jack, there is no software to worry about – in theory. In practice, Razer offers software known as Razer Surround, which is linked to its Synapse program. Razer Surround can mimic the nuances of surround sound on any stereo headphones, and the effect is pretty good. Although it doesn’t fully mimic the full directional audio that you get from a 5.1 or 7.1 surround-sound headset, the music and sound effects feel a little more rounded and deep than usual.
The Electra V2 looks a little over the top for something you take from home, but because it has a removable mic and a 3.5 mm audio cable, I hope it can double as a pair of headphones everyday. No luck: Electra V2 makes music sound chaotic and lifeless. The balance between instruments and vocals is almost always in favor of the first, and vocals sound like they come from across a crowded bar rather than a magnificent music room.
