How to Use Realme Share on a Realme Mobile

Sending files between phones is a feature that at least among Android phones has not enjoyed a functionality commonly accepted by users. We have had many patches, and except for the arrival of Nearby to Android 10, each manufacturer has developed its own system. This is the case of Realme Share in the case of Realme mobiles.

With the arrival of messaging apps, and access to email or cloud storage apps, the protocols for sending files between phones don’t make much sense, but they are still there for us.

What is Realme Share?

Well, basically we are facing a Realme protocol to send files between two brand devices directly. It is something similar to the Nearby function of Android 10 , but rather focused on the brand’s mobiles, which have it installed by default thanks to Realme UI. Well, what this protocol does is send files immediately between two devices. For this, it is necessary that both terminals have the process active.

The best thing about this feature is that you don’t need an Internet connection to use it, as it uses the phone’s Bluetooth connectivity . It is an ideal function for sending large files, and it is similar to Airdrop. And logically it only works between two phones of the brand. It is a function that is activated from the quick shortcuts in the notification bar. And that can be used from the Android share menu, where it is fully integrated into these phones.

How active?

Well, its use is quite simple. The first thing is to have the functionality activated on both phones, which can be done easily by sliding the screen from top to bottom, and clicking on the quick shortcut for “Realme Share” .

This allows us to establish the connection between both phones, if they are within the Bluetooth range. Now you just have to do the following:

  • Choose the file you want to share, either from the file manager or from any other app
  • Click on the share button
  • Make sure the other mobile has the function active
  • In the choice of Android apps, click on the avatar of the other phone, which will be displayed with the Realme logo and the name below
  • File sending will begin

Now the other person will see a pop-up window on their mobile, in which they can accept the reception of the file. This will be consumed in just a few seconds, depending on the size of the file. Once delivered, both will see notifications with it, and the recipient can directly open the file. And all this without the need for an LTE or Wifi data connection .
