The design really hasn’t changed much since its predecessor was released in 2014 and no additional buttons were added which I feel is a trick missed by Razer. V2 has 4 buttons which include two main buttons, a DPI cycle button and a scroll wheel that can be pressed. However, you can bind the command to scroll the wheel up and down and this can be achieved through the Razer Synapse software which must be run for the mouse to function efficiently.
Razer Abyssus V2 works fine, but it’s a good idea to install the free Razer Synapse software. With it, you can adjust mouse buttons, DPI settings, and lighting. On the Customization tab, you can not only reprogram four mouse buttons but you can also adjust the scroll up and scroll down functions on the wheel, which usually cannot be adjusted for any mouse, especially what is a budget model.
