Razer Basilisk V2 Firmware, Drivers, Software, Setup & Manual Support. Razer Basilisk V2 works fine, but it’s a good idea to install the free Razer Synapse software. With it, you can adjust mouse buttons, DPI settings, and lighting. On the Customization tab, you can not only reprogram four mouse buttons but you can also adjust the scroll up and scroll down functions on the wheel, which usually cannot be adjusted for any mouse, especially what is a budget model.
Basilisk V2 is compatible with the Razer Synapse 3 beta app, where you can manage various settings. You can set the sensitivity to anywhere from 100 to 20,000 CPI with support for storing up to five sensitivity levels which can be rotated via using the CPI switch directly south of the scroll wheel.
Razer Basilisk V2 Firmware is an excellent mouse for FPS gaming. The sensor performance is excellent and the click latency is very low. The mouse feels comfortable to use, especially with a claw or palm grip, although people with smaller hands may have a hard time reaching the sniper buttons. It’s also not the lightest mouse, but the cable is very light and doesn’t tangle up, which is fine.
